CollisionGuard: forklift pedestrian warning that works where
cameras can't see

Australian designed, made and supported

Warns the driver and the pedestrian before they meet, even through racking, loads and containers, in wet and dirty conditions.

Designed in Australia2-year warrantyFits in under an hourWorks with BodyGuard tags

THE PROBLEM

Pedestrians and forklifts don't mix

Forklifts remain one of the leading causes of serious workplace injury in Australia. SafeWork NSW has made mobile plant a regulatory priority, and WorkSafe Victoria encourages employers to fit proximity devices that detect pedestrians. Mirrors, hi-vis and cameras all need a clear line of sight. Racking, stacked loads and blind corners take it away.

DETECTION ZONE

A safety bubble around every vehicle

Adjustable from about 1.5 m to 10 m, and it reaches through racking, loads and containers.

HOW IT WORKS

Every worker wears a tag.
Every vehicle carries a detector.

CollisionGuard detector unit
01

Detect

The vehicle unit detects any CollisionGuard tag within the range you set, from about 1.5 m to 10 m. It works through solid objects and needs no line of sight.

CollisionGuard control unit with alarm, status and silence controls
02

Warn the driver

An amber strobe flashes and a voice says "Look out, person near you". Dual systems say whether the person is in front or behind.

03

Warn the pedestrian

The worker's tag vibrates and flashes red, so they know a vehicle is close even in a noisy area.

FLEETS OF 10 OR MORE VEHICLES

Zero-downtime support

For sites with 10 or more systems, we keep a complete spare system on site at our cost. If a unit fails, swap it straight away and keep working; we replace the spare and repair the faulty unit.

ABOUT THE DESIGNER

An all-new system,
built from the ground up

David Huisman spent many years designing pedestrian warning systems for Australian worksites, including the original BodyGuard system. In 2026 he founded All Clear Safety, an independent company, and designed CollisionGuard from the ground up as an all-new system. It is 100% compatible with BodyGuard, so existing BodyGuard sites can use both together.

Does it need line of sight?

No. The vehicle unit creates a low-frequency radio zone, so it detects tagged people behind racking, loads, walls and machinery, in dust, rain, glare and darkness.

How far does it detect?

You set the zone on each vehicle, from about 1.5 m to 10 m, to match your site's exclusion distance. Vehicles that need two separate zones, such as long trucks, use a dual system with front and rear detectors.

Will cones, barriers or other vehicles set it off?

No. It only responds to CollisionGuard tags, so there are no nuisance alarms and operators keep it switched on.

Does the driver's own tag set it off?

No. The driver's tag sits in an isolation pouch on the controller, so only people outside the vehicle trigger a warning.

What does installation involve?

Rare-earth magnets and pre-terminated cables. The only wiring is an ignition-switched 12 V or 24 V feed, and most vehicles are fitted in under an hour. Higher-voltage electric vehicles, such as 36 V or 72 V forklifts, use a voltage reducer.

How is it configured?

From any mobile phone, through the controller's own Wi-Fi access point. You don't need a programmer or site Wi-Fi.

How long do tags last between charges?

About two weeks. A full charge takes about 2.5 hours. Tags are not paired to a vehicle, so a worker can move between equipped vehicles and sites with one tag.

Is CollisionGuard a new version of BodyGuard?

No. CollisionGuard is a separate, all-new system designed and made by All Clear Safety. It is 100% compatible with BodyGuard, so BodyGuard tags work with CollisionGuard vehicles and both can operate on the same site. All Clear Safety does not sell or service BodyGuard products.

Does it replace traffic management?

No. CollisionGuard is an additional safety control. Keep your traffic management plan, physical separation and other required controls in place.
